The day starts early with instruction on windsurfing, dinghy sailing etc and includes a barbecue lunch and a series of competitive events. Participants are from DPA member companies and delegates at the Conference. Men and women take part and no previous experience of watersports is necessary to have a good day. All equipment including wetsuit is provided.

Hove Lagoon Watersports is the venue, only a ten-minute drive from the centre of Brighton. To get there, follow the main road along the Brighton Front towards Hove (west) for 2 miles. Hove Lagoon is on your left. Turn left at the next traffic lights into a slip road that runs beside the lagoon. Park in this road or on the grass. If you reach Shoreham Harbour you have gone too far!

All participants on the day need to bring a bathing costume or trunks/shorts; a towel; trainers/plimsolls or light shoes (that can be immersed in seawater). Third party insurance is included for each participant.

The cost of the day is around £25, (Alpha Index sponsors the event to make it affordable for all) The watersports prizes are sponsored by Konnect Soft Ltd. The prize for the overall winner is presented at the Awards dinner.
